I need some help with a vent free propane gas fireplace that is operated by a remote that is missing.

My customer wants me to check the operation of the unit. The tank is full of gas, but there is no manual igniter. Any suggestions?

I dont think you should be lighting pilot lights for liabilty reasons, Explain that to your client and move on… Not Inspected.

Generally the propane co will test equipment

**Installation and service must be performed by
a qualified installer, service agency or the gas

[FONT=MyriadPro-Regular]Do not try
to light the pilot by hand.

There should be a toggle switch on the controls in back of the grille that will switch between remote and manual. I have found them tucked up pretty high and not really visible unless you are laying on the ground. I have never seen one that was only run by remote.
