Master bathroom with lots of space in the main area. Just a little tight. Gotta love having a custom made home

Does it open all the way? Or does it stop right there???

The only thing I would (actually, I would not) suggest (and the cheapest but worse thing to do) would be to get one of those handheld tile filers and file away ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

You could suggest a sliding door, a bi folding door or placing the door so it opens out instead of in. Where there is a will there is always a way.

Works for me, who wants to see their wife on the pot anyway, not real sexy.

The only “code” I am aware of is that there is a 15" clearance required from the center of the toilet to an adjacent wall. (and it would be measured with the door closed) icon_wink.gif

IRC 2003 R307.1 Requires 21" clearance in from of a stool to a fixed object. Nothing about a door. My mamma always taught me to close the door.
