That is likely to create more of a problem(s) than it solves, which is to hide the compressor unit.
It’s for lifeguard duty.

I hope there’s enough air flow. Last time I saw a similar cover over a pool heat pump (brand new) it prevented the heat pump from heating the pool becuase it was recycling the same air.
