Found these...Whats my obligation if any?

Wow just finished my inventory and I’m low on .50 BMG, tracers, frag grenades, phosphorous grenades, claymores, and some other needed self defense items. Going to have to make a run tomorrow and stock up. Possibly there will be a lot of after Christmas sales going on?

I see an arms race between the Republic of Texas and the Quintessential Empire of Scanlandia taking shape!

Not much of a race since they are way behind me!

The ammo in that house can be purchased via mail order by anyone at least 18 years old. The .50 BMG can be had for as little as $4.20/rd.

Beer is more highly restricted.

Thoughtful post.

Well, it looks like you found what I call a starter kit, or half a range day…

No offence was meant, were as your were blatantly obvious.

You even went off on a highly recognised senior member, and good friend of the founder, that is highly respected throughout the association for personal selfless contributions few have attained as he was rememeding all of us how to act on the MB.

As a man that serves the military, in certain situations, viewing high volumes of ammunition is common. Henceforth, one can imagine, rightly or wrongly, the casual attitude taken to the large allotment of stored ammunition, contraband, at a home inspection in a staged house.

Comparison. Associate a narcotics officer that routinely observers large quantities of narcotics. If a comparison was made to the quantity of contraband, ammunition to narcotics, does this mean a perceived allotment of narcotics on the same scale should be have a blind eye to?
Just say nothing to offend no one. Why jeopardise what can become a referral later on.

Have a good day Chuck.

What are you blathering on about?

You made multiple false and politically motivated statements that were totally off topic. You cut and pasted someone else’s words as though they were your own - you plagiarised them. You got challenged to substantiate your false claims - you failed, again. I happen to know the subject, you don’t. The items being discussed were perfectly legal and could legally be possed by any adult. They were not narcotics - that’s a strawman argument because you can’t substantiate your original argument.

Keep your political crap and anti-American sentiments in the NFE.

Why are you wasting space with your inflammatory remarks.

Post some data expert. Tell the members how many innocent lives are taken yearly by individuals with firearms.
Post some stats on what was uncovered by authorities at the scene, on the shooters person or at the home.

Your second amendment rights requires updating just like your juvenile attitude. Grow up.
Best regards.
Mr. Yeung.

Take your idiocy to the NFE

Why bother with you? I challenged some of the basic assumptions behind the push for gun control, citing actual facts and refuting arguments for gun control with sound logic, but you chose not to respond. I suspect that’s because the facts I cited don’t support your narrative, and you had no compelling response.

OK, expert. Tell the people how many innocent lives are saved each year by those individual citizens using firearms against bad actors. You are probably completely unaware of these instances, since the information sources in your echo chamber don’t report them. Tell the people how states with open carry have a 23% lower violent crime rate than those who do not. Explain why, based on the wording of the 2nd amendment, a firearm or its attendant ammunition should be restricted for lack of any “legitimate sporting purpose” whatever the hell that means.

The notion that restricting the rights of those who obey the law will make us safer ignores the fact that those who do not obey the law will continue to find ways to arm themselves with superior weaponry. The police do not have the numbers or the ability to respond quickly enough for private individuals to protect themselves. It falls to the individual to provide for his/her own protection. If they chose not to do that, fine, but they should not attempt to deprive others of that ability.

As Chuck has suggested, if you have a politically-oriented ax to grind, there is a special place on the forum for that. Please use it.

With all due respect Robert, this is absolute nonsense. First and foremost - the Second Amendment is not to protect “sporting.”

Secondly, as already pointed out, a legitimate sporting purpose DOES exist for the .50 BMG

Third, the “Black Talon” projectile is STILL manufactured, just under a different name. Admittedly, I still possess about 20 boxes of the original BT’s.

Pure, unadulterated propaganda. Nothing more.

90% of the weapons seized/recovered from gang members and other prohibited persons are loaded with FMJ ammo. Essentially, target ammo.

There’s nothing in the OP to be “alarmed” about. Perhaps if this was a crack-house or occupied by squatters, but no, nothing alarming.

Gun violence is a misnomer. Canada has just as much violence in their society, the only real difference is that law-abiding citizens are not allowed to arm themselves outside of their homes for self-protection. You are relegated to police response time.

The federal authorities have no grounds to investigate. The house is private property and the ammo is personal property, both of which are protected by the Constitution of the United States.

You forget. Leftists have no respect for the Constitution except for the portions they can twist toward their political agenda.

You forget. Leftists consider the Constitution an outdated document except for the portions they can twist toward their political agenda.

So, tell us Robert, WHO is posting in your name THIS WEEK?? Raymond Wand? Kevin Wood???

Happy new year to you and your charming wife.

Maybe the right thing to do would be to reach out to the staging company and homeowner. But the size of the cache being stored in a staged home sets off alarm bells.

This is a staged home. Whom ever staged the home has responsibility to keep everyone safe. That includes young children brought to the home during the inspection.
Could you imagine how a prospective purchaser would feel looking at the cheche of ammunition.

I have enjoyed the use of firearms for decades. All for sport.
Friends reloaded spent ammunition to save money. We would go through boxes of ammunition in one day. Nothing of that size. Shoot with military service personal at rock quarries as well. From longarm 22’s, 30 od 8s, 303,s, 10 and 12 gauge shotguns, 357 Dan Wesson to Smith and Wesson 44 magnums with balancing barrel ports that blew flames 6’ feet to the left and right of the barrel. The curtains at the QQP shooting range would flap like a flag in a breeze to the left and right of your lane. The shooters in the lanes beside you would give you a look and stop shooting. I had my time with firearms. Both long arms and hand guns.

To me, that is an alarming cheche of ammunition.
Moreover, I never one allowed a cache to be stored by a company that stages homes nor allowed children to play with ammunition.
One must admit. This does not look good in a staged home for sale.

Like inspecting, I’m amazed how you can claim such experience, yet understand so little about the subject.

Nobody cares what you used to do. It’s doesn’t give you license to challenge the validity of American’s Constitutional rights with impunity. If you wish to live in a socialist, nanny state, fine. Just don’t try to inflict it on us.

Apparently, that modest store of ammunition wasn’t too alarming to prospective buyers as they apparently went under contract with a buyer who commissioned the inspection.

The “right” thing to do is to ignore people’s perfectly legal personal property which is neither a part of the home, nor a part of the transaction, nor within the scope of what the inspector is authorized to be poking his nose into and rendering opinions about.

Heh, for all we know they may have insisted it convey with the property!

The “size of the cache” is insignificant. Perhaps it’s “alarming” to someone who is not American, but honestly, this is not a large quantity for an avid shooter. I go through that much ammo in a year and no one has ever been harmed by my “cache.”

There is nothing unsafe with ammo in its original packaging - nothing. I carry ammo in my checked baggage on flights around the country.

Again, this is America. Prospective buyers see guns, gun safes, ammo, etc. all the time during house-viewings.

Darn I thought I was done with the inventory! I’m low on RPG’s as well. Will need to make another trip to stock up on some.
