I just tallied the posts appearing on my screen. Of the 20 posts, 4 are home inspection related, one is a home inspection vehicle magnet advertisement, and the rest are happy birthday or political. Just saying…
Very active MB overall, which is good for clicks, but also admitting that my post is one of the 75% click posts unrelated to home inspection topics or education.
I’m here for the 20%.
Been this way for awhile, what was once a useful inspection related resource has become heavily polluted.
I made a similar observation last week and got some panties all up in a bunch.
It is ridiculous, I suspect there is no way to get everyones Birthday on there so drop them totally. The political stuff blows my mind, it makes the entire message board a joke really, it has no place in a workplace based organization, it totally is inappropriate

I for one don’t mind most of the “other stuff.” I’ve always thought that the reason politics, jokes, music, etc., are popular topics on the board was because most of us work solo. This is kinda our “water cooler,” if you will. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, I think I heard once.
For me personally, I barely ever look at birthdays, NACHI promotion stuff, and course approval posts. Which means my scroll wheel gets a good workout, lol.
My scroll wheel broke years ago. It sucks that I’ve been too lazy to get a new one. 
The bottom line is, it’s Nicks sandbox and he calls the shots.
There were a few of us, years ago, that preferred to have the political threads in the NFE, which IMO is where they belong and is where they all used to be, but Nick decided to let them fly in the public section of the MB, so you can either join in, or not join in any thread that you may consider inappropriate.
It’s still a free country.

No truth to that. Here are the most popular threads currently. What’s going on is that you see what you focus on, not what’s really going on. If you ever notice the “I didn’t come here for political discussions” posts, they are always inside a political discussion thread that they actively and voluntarily entered. It’s human nature. I’ve demonstrated this numerous times on this forum. It’s your own brain working against you.
