I know this is a funny picture about ASHI, but do any ASHI members know if it is really at ASHI headquarters? I'm serious. I want to know. It is important that I veryify its actual existence.

Gerry, I think all you have to do is “pay real money” to join ASHI and you’ll get to see it over there.

I was at a meeting yesterday with my company’s Southern California franchises. Two of our franchisees have the CPI designation from CREIA, which is nothing but ASHI here in Southern California. During the course of our conversations, we touched upon memberships in trade associations. One CPI stated that his designation “separates the men from the boys.” I jumped in to ask him about CREIA candidate members, etc.: “As I said, CPI separates the men from the boys.” That is exactly the kind of attitude that caused me to leave the CREIA/ASHI camp in San Diego County.

By the way, what does CPI stand for? Consumer Price Index? Certified Public Idiot?

CRI= certified professional inspector (idiot) ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

Woooo Woooo, he is a man and I am a boy......like fur sure dude!

And to get that designation he had to remember to pick up the toilet seat before he went PEE. Now that is an accomplishment! ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

Lee,

When you upload a picture onto a web page you have to take all the spaces out of the filename before you upload the image. ![icon_biggrin.gif](upload://iKNGSw3qcRIEmXySa8gItY6Gczg.gif)

Russel,

I looked up CPI in the Merriam Webster Dictionary and it states that CPI stands for California Part-time Inspectors. And thats what separates the men from the boys. The men work full time. ![icon_wink.gif](upload://ssT9V5t45yjlgXqiFRXL04eXtqw.gif)

O.K.
