Galvanized & Copper

When the two meet, there should be a brass fitting between correct? At time it is hard to tell if there is a brass fitting there. Any tricks to help identify brass?

dielectric nipple or dielectric unions can be used as well. Brass is a different color that copper.

It can be just a brass nipple in between. Anything brass can go inbetween galvanized and copper.

like copper it is non magnetic. You can also tell if the valley is aluminum it to is non magnetic.
