Do all gas ovens have a burner on the top for broil or not. I mean


isn’t that what broil is , to give out heat from the top ? I am use to


seeimg the burner on top for broill and the owner didn’t know.

Sometimes the drawer on the bottom is actually the broiler.

In most gas stoves I've seen, the broiler is in the drawer on the bottom of the oven. Uses the same burner, just places the meat in a different location.

Though I've seen one or two with an extra burner on the top of the oven.

The older gas ovens had only one broiler, it was at the bottom. You had to use the bottom drawer to actually broil. Now the new gas ovens have a flame at the top as well, just like the electric coil on an electric oven. Gas is delivered to 2 separate places.

That’s what it looks like to me also. How old is the oven?

The oven is about 3 yrs old and I did not see a burner on top for the broiler


like a electric has so I was thinking maybe there was no broil. Can’t be with


this new age type.
