Dominic, the default is GFCI. I did not toggle the button.
As well, the tester is faulty. Likely because it has fallen out of my pouch or from a counter on several occasions.

*Note: Wish someone that owns a EXTECH CT70 would have replied.

After extensively testing outlets during several home inspections with faulty lighting circuit wiring utilizing TECH CT70, SureTest ® Circuit Analyzer 61-164, Fluke 2AC Alert Voltage Tester and Sperry 5 lamp Non-Contact Voltage Tester and GFCI Outlet Tester, I have come to the conclusion that the EXTECH CT70 is faulty. The EXTECH CT70 I used did not pickup a miswired hot ground on a miswired outlet while my SureTest ® Circuit Analyzer 61-164, Fluke 2AC Alert Voltage Tester and Sperry 5 lamp Non-Contact Voltage Tester and GFCI Outlet Tester Kit did. It use to but did not during a home inspection.
Images were saved for prosperity.

Thank you all for chiming in.

And into the BS he reads on the internet!

Was this a WAFI mis-spell… … …

Jonas, you are surely not a professional. Grow up. You do more harm to this association than anyone I know.
Too bad.
So sad for professional home inspectors and this grand association.

Other troll’s should be posting shortly.

Perhaps he was really thinking ‘posterior’…??
