I would bet a dollar you are missing deadwood in the corner so the tile backer board is not screwed at that corner. framers miss deadwood at corners all the time and if it is not caught at punchout, well the drywaller isn’t going to put it in; they don’t have the wood or the desire to do it. when you tear it out next year, let me know if I’m right.
