While doing research about inspecting manufactured homes, I came across this guide to concrete repair by the U.S. Department of Interior.
It’s not directly related to home inspections, but the guide has a lot of pictures of cracked/damaged concrete. And there’s a lot about shrinkage cracking.
Seems like an unlikely source, but the US Department of Interior does a lot of historical reclamation. I’m working on a job with an architect where extensive terra-cotta damage is occurring and the US Department of Interior has conducted some significant investigation on the repair, maintenance and restoration options.
