I have a question on this topic. Is there any way to direct the water that comes off the condenser coils so that it doesn’t run over all sides of the pad on which the unit sits? Our outside unit sits on a platform because we are in a flood zone in Florida and I would like to control where the water comes down so that it doesn’t leave drip marks on all sides of the platform.
Yes there sure is its similar to the safety pan for a water heater. The pan would be required to have a drain outlet allowing you to control where the water is discharged to. I am not aware of a factor built pan specific for your problem but a sheet metal shop could make you one
