This product was over an existing flat roof. It was about a 1/8 inch thick, had an aluminum type of top and a rubbery base. What is it?

Hi Steve,

I believe what you were looking at was "Quick Roof", most commonly it is used as a repair product, but is also available as 6ft X 16ft rolls for new installations. (the aluminum coating is designed to reduce solar gain)

Steve,

Kinda hard to see much detail in the photo, my first reaction was torched-on bitumen, but which is typically is a little thicker than 1/8th". The aluminum coating is applied after all the details are completed to reflect solar gain … and make a few more bucks for the effort.
