Not so concerned with the ‘Thump’ as I am with the depth and clearity at volume.
In a word… “Immersiveness”.
If you haven’t figured it out yet, I enjoy a large range of musical styles.
I’m a lifetime Rock and Prog fan, but have recently discovered and have become addicted to Finnish/Dutch Symphonic Metal and it’s variations.

I highly suggest getting a mini amplifier for your computer, then you can hook up a couple small bookshelf speakers.

I upgraded to these recently, @jjonas. Really great for $100, i think. I didnt know what I was missing. For $50 more you can get the bluetooth version, $150 more for a 2.1 setup. Kinda wish I got the woofer.
