Home Energy Program Cancelled

Home inspectors who have spent time & money on becoming “*Home Energy Auditors” *will not be rewarded for their effort as anticipated - because the *“Ontario Home Audit Program will not become mandatory” *as proposed by the Ontario Government.

You will probably see all those feel good energy programs go the same route in the US. Uncle Sam is broke and the cost cutting will be serious in the next congress.

Well It’s on again. Todays budget has extended the home energy audit for another year.

There is confusion out there

Natural Resources Canada’s program has been extended with the budget.
( supported by the Ontario Government it think)

What has been cancelled is the proposed Provincial **requirement **for an audit before selling a home.

Completely different kettle of fish.

Hope this clears things up

Cheers

Thanks for the clarification, Doug.
