I bought a home in September 2014 and went through the inspection process and the house appeared perfect and have many pictures. The following spring I noticed a revelation about my home…some very disturbing things had happened to the appearance of my beautiful home. The oaint was literally drooping down pulling away from the board and pockets of drooping paint were seen. Upon closer inspection with my contractor, it seems that the previous owner had done the worst job on this house and used drywall all over the exterior creating a huge task and burden to fix and repair. I contacted a paint specialist and my home inspector. The ASHI inspector said that he doesn’t go into the underlying paint to inspect the exterior surface? I am out $1000s and this still could be ongoing because I just went at the bad areas and perhaps more could spring up this coming spring.
