Home sales in Connecticut up 39% in May.

This is the sharpest increase in sales in more than two decades, according to the latest report by The Warren Group, publisher of The Commercial Record.

“Pent-up demand from buyers who were delaying purchases because of their concerns about the economy, low interest rates and the tax credits have helped push up sales,” said said The Warren Group CEO Timothy M. Warren Jr.

Must be good to work in CT

Hardly, people are leaving NYC to live. The taxes inside the city are eating them alive. My sister lived in CT for over 40 yrs. Taxes there are high as well but at least you get something for it. In NYC, its like cotton candy, gone in a puff and not even a full stomach. Takes a lot of money to keep that facade alive.

One more example of why people and businesses are making the exodus out of NY and NYC.
