What one can see outside of the insulation makes no sense where is the expansion valve, the liquid line and the suction line back to the compressor appears to be the same size were there two coils below that insulation I see two grills on the exterior but why would you discharge refrigerated air outside its not big enough to cool the whole neighborhood
All I have is questions:D
The words “rube goldberg” come to mind.
A refrigerator compressor, a furnace blower, and a few electrical components does not an air-conditioner for a building make…
What you see is a homemade AC condenser unit installed on a shelf inside the attached garage discharging warm air to the outdoor through that wall grill visible on exterior pic…
The evaporator A-coil is in the plenum above furnace in basement.
Sorry for the blurry pic.
So I guess a make and model not to mention age and capacity is out of the question for this unit…![]()
Nope ya can get it off the compressor If ya have the right book. I once helped make a refrigerated snow man with a Semi hermatic compressor and R-502 refrigerant (low temp) we dropped the suction pressure until the lines started to frost over the body. The snow man was the evaporator and the expansion valve was capaliary tubes inserted into different areas of the body after it frosted over it looked pretty neat
