I’ve uploaded a few more pictures that I was able to take yesterday since I had to back to do the electrical panel and water heater.
I do have an issue with the wire up next to the roof deck being too close. Also, I still have not been able to tell if the builder put the knee walls in or if the owner added them when he finished the second floor. There is no top plate and I can’t find any code that says you have to have one. You are not even required to have a knee wall as long as your rafter load calculations aren’t exceeded for span and material size.
Someone asked for a better picture of the porch surface, so I’ve added that as well as the one showing the slab sloping back to the house and the spot adjacent to that where the only physical separation appeared in the brick veneer.
