In the paper this morning. “The average price of a new single-family detached home will soar nearly 38% in 2007 nudging close to $500,000.00 - An increase of more than $200,000.00 in the last 3 years” :shock: It will be an interesting Spring in Calgary again!!!:roll:

Funny you should mention that. I just helped my retired parents move on the weekend into a beautiful 5 yr old, 2 bedroom condo on Rocky Ridge Dr in NW Calgary. It’s small, only around 800 ft, but it’s got an on-suite and a club membership plus tons of other perks. Nice place, clean as a whislte. And they picked it up for around $240K. Thank god we got them moved in while the weather was still relatively reasonable. Wouldn’t want to be moving them today, got to be like –25 out there! :shock:
They say things are going to soften slightly here later this year, but not by much. Not enough labour, that’s the weak link.

I’m hoping that it picks up and is better then last year around this time. Don’t fel like renovating or going into maintenance again.
Been doing a lot of researching on marketing and other inspection related issues but haven’t activly gotten out yet and purchased the materials.
Still looking for good reporting system for inspections. Gets confusing after seeing so many demos however, 3D looks okay so far. Don’t know.
Still okay for coffee if you get time.

Hi guys,
This was looking like a good thread for information exchange to “Inspection Related Issues” happening in Alberta.
Looking at it this morning, the thread took a turn and was attacked by the rantings of a digruntled member that seems to hate everything and everybody (as per other information threads on this board).
Ray, I don’t know why you feel you have to follow this guy around and start with bantering just to ruin a thread intentions. It would be nice to just have a thread where TOPIC information could be exchanged.
I’m sure other Canadian inspectors feel the same way even though at times it is humerous and entertaining. At the same time, it is distracting from the content of the thread.
Maybe as a suggestion, You could start a thread under the heading of
“I Hate CAPHI(CAHPI), Norm and the World” and enter your issues there. That way inspectors can still be informed anad go to your thread to be entertained if they want.
I know I’ll be hit back on this but, as was told before, I’m entiled to an opinion.
