Hot on Neutral, With Hot Open

I’m using an Ideal 61-059 Sure Test electrical system tester and for the first time have come across the “Hot on Neutral, with Hot Open” indicator. What exactly does that mean? Thanks.

I don’t have one of those but deductive reasoning says:

Nothing connected to the small receptacle blade (black wire).
Large blade (White wire) has 120V
Ground ok.

The tester can read voltage with no neutral by using the ground circuit.

Basically a “HOT ON NEUTRAL WITH HOT OPEN” reading means you have reversed polarity and an open neutral.
