There are a lot of banners, websites, business cards, brochures and inspection vehicle signs out there in our industry. I honestly believe with all my heart that having “Certified Master Inspector” on them is very beneficial to the inspector. But if inspectors think other stuff is also beneficial… that’s their call. It’s their business, not mine.

My client last night dealt with one of these large franchise operations.
They get business by selling Agents with all the logo stuff and then under perform.
Client calls for more info and Inspector can’t be bothered as he is to busy doing another checklist inspection with logos all over it.
Who cares about the actual inspection anymore when you have logos and slick Agent kissing ?
Me…Just underpromise ,work hard and over deliver.
No B.S warranties,up selling unneeded service or kissing anyone unless attracted.

You forgot to mention that the gimmick sales are necessary for some companies to survive.
Many are lowballers and have to incorporate gimmicks to make a profit and impress their realtors.
They have to trade their clients personal contact information in exchange for worthless warranties and gimmicks to survive.

I’m all for talking smack and playing rough until the point someone starts threatening others with bodily harm. In my opinion Kevin Wood needs to be leashed.
