They forgot to install the drip edge first.

man i wish back in the day I could have gotten half the roof done while standing on the ground…

 With a four foot ladder, huh!

indeed…

I don’t see any “H clips” installed between the plywood panels.

picky bugger…

If they would use 5/8" t&g, would not be needed. :)

It’s an improper installation of shingles course, so you won’t see the framing or plywood. Many thanks to Owens Corning for supplying their experts.

I looked at the wood on the back of the truck & on the install and I did not see any T&G. \:D/

Well it is an improper shingle installation flick Frank, so I guess it don’t make much difference.

That must be why they have a shingle striping shovel that I asked about originally. ;)

H clips not needed for rafters at 16" OC, only the 1/8" space between each course.

This is interesting! Can you please send me the “link” {Please list the page and paragraph} to the manual and or codebook where this information is listed? I would really appreciate adding this “new information” to my technical library.
Thanks, and I look forward to receiving this information:D

We’ve already been rolling it out in a few states. Ben did an intro video which is on the chapter sites. Watch it here:

http://nc.nachi.org/nc/event1036.html

I think we had well over 150 inspectors in Ft. Lauderdale last night for that city’s roll out: http://www.nachi.org/forum/f73/nick-and-ben-84476/

We’re in Charlotte next Wednesday.

I’ve asked you more than once… “When would you like to come to the New Hampshire?”

I could send out a “broadcast email” to; Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont!

We could do a RSVP and… If there is a good response you guys could come… And… If there is a “bad response”… you could cancel!

I don’t know when we are coming to NH. OC gave us 12 more states to offer the program in, but I haven’t been given the list yet. All I know is that the program is going across N. America eventually. We just have to ramp up slowly.

It would be great if all roofs were that easy to mount…LOL

Jim

Frank, H-clips are actually not required at all by code. It is just common place to use them on 1/2" and 5/8" roof sheathing with 24" OC framing. I don’t use plywood clips on 16" framing, but I do provide an expansion joint of 1/8" between courses with a 12d nail, which is what a plywood clip really does (expansion joint).
