I hear ya! …but it’s still WARMER here than when I worked in the Thunder Bay, Ontario area.
I’ll have to stock up on the batteries, 'cause I’m headed up to Red Lake, Ontario for 2 weeks in February.
16 degrees here. I just spent an hour in my Son’s crawlspace. His pipes froze and split. Good times.
It been in negative digits here the past few days with the wind chill. This morning I thought my ears might fall off. The answer to your question is you decide what you will and will not do. If it’s too cold just don’t do it it’s your call.
Do not feel sorry as cold weather is better than too hot.
Look at all the hot climate countries compared to cold climate countries and you see a big difference in economy, health, invention, creativity, production, etc.
I would rather not feel lazy all day hiding in the A/C while in a cold climate you do get used to it.
One inch of snow and the south is freaking out with traffic accidents and life at a stand still.
Hardship breeds strength.
I know what you mean it is going to get way way down to 48 tonight and only 79 Tomorrow with a few clouds! So I know how you guys feel…
And cabin fever breeds loonyness - like being afraid of your electric meter;-)
79 and sunny here today:mrgreen:
I’m with you Bob. I’ll take cold over hot any time.
Holy crap! Are you saying **negative **36? It gets in the teens here and i’m pretty much worthless ;-).
A heated Jacket? you poor guys just dont realize how much it sucks to like in conditions like that. Please stay up there.
I sadly had to scratch my day. BOth dirve and road are a solid sheet of ice. Cant even leave the drive.
Is hooking hard work?
That’s right -36 Celsius. Warmed up a bit since then, only -14 C right now, or about +7 degrees F. Still wearing my heated jacket, though !
+3 this morning and 16 F. right now.
Warmed up 6 degrees on both ends from yesterday.
It’s too cold when you start f*rting snowflakes.
I just keep my gloves on and take them off for 2 seconds to take pictures. Performed 2 inspections this week at -35 C. It does take longer because I go around the house once, snapping pictures. Then warm up. Then go around again. I do all my writing in the house after the exterior. Then I go back again one more time to finish up what I missed and check the roof at the same time. It’s not fun but I would rather be a Home Inspector than work at Burger King where it’s warmer. LOL
8-10 years ago I use to build log houses in that weather, although we would stop when it got down to -25C, you know, when you put your hand in the nail pouch and multiple nails stuck to your clove…
To this day, I still prefer cold weather over the hot muggy Houston climate. I don’t enjoy being drenched in sweat and having to change clothes in between inspections. Today I was unhappy because I broke a sweat in the attic with 78 degrees outside
Stay warm my friends!
Only when i had to deal with little wienies like you
Yeah, steel and cold is just about as fun as steel very hot…
Glad you are indoors now
