How Do You Determine if Radiant Heat is Working

Actually, I hear they might have some of that infrared stuff in Tenn.

Did Recallchech pay for repairs to this heating unit as it is the primary heat source?

That’s between the homeowner’s attorney and the warranty salesman.

Those are pretty cool pictures Linas.

How is it that those controls don’t have access?

So what exactly heats what with this type of heat system, the floor or the ceiling or both? Confusing and seems like it might be inefficient.

The center control valve is a bit cooler (see the difference in color at the union fitting?) so it wasn’t supplying that dead zone.

These are from a different system Marcel. This only heated the ceiling, so you would always have cold feet, I guess.:stuck_out_tongue:

Yes we do, but this is the Link you need: www.ThermalImagingScan.com

The term “radiant heat” is often misunderstood and/or misused.
Old Steam and Hydronic systems with the big radiators against the wall are a good example of this.

Are they convection heaters or radiant heaters, or both?

How many times have you seen them painted silver?!
It looks pretty, but almost completely diminishes its intended purpose (and its name) “Radiator”!

some thoughts on radiant heat:

Nice Website and Blog David.
