How it's done in Montana!

Thought you might like to see how we frame doors and windows here in the boonies. This was me 2 years ago starting the framing for a set of french doors out to the deck.


That’s how I used to do it on conventionally framed homes. I’d plywood the entire exterior so that they home looked like the Spruce Goose. Then when the windows were delivered, I’d take a chainsaw and run it around the inside of the window frame to pop the window holes through the sheathing.

Crude but effective Nick. I have always used a router on my windows and doors when the wall was still laying down. Skil saw once in a while.
