In your situation if things were reversed I would find out what the other guy does and make my self more appealing to use (within reason ).
The small guy has certain advantages and risks he can take that more established guys can not.
Guerrilla marketing is based on small guy principles so if you are not familiar with the term look it up and study it.
Heck, imagine if you did a Russ and promised Agents they would be in and out in under an hour.
