How much flex is too much in flex duct?

I said 180 degrees is better than 360 but not optimal.

That looks like a 180° bend. Too much in my opinion, and s/b limited to about 90° bends. Without getting into numbers, just look for nice sweeps, without any pinched or crushed sections which restrict flow. Also take a quick look for taped splices on the flex cores, which tend to come apart over time (s/b strapped metal splice collars), significant rips in the flex, and good connections at the take-offs and boots.

Bottom line is that flex duct looks like it’s pinched, which can definitely restrict flow to that supply.

Yea, that one’s a no-brainer, Joe. I know you’ve got it covered.
