Good idea except for us using dial-up. I live in a rural area as a lot of inspectors I know and there simply is no other choice other than dial-up service for me. I don’t know how big the file(s) would be but a full CD-Rom is about 640 MB . that would take me about 33 hours to down load. Even if the CD was 1/6 full at 106MB that would still take me 5.5 hours. This all assumes my connection doesn’t drop during the download as I know it will.

I’d vote for the site ASAP, for some people that have dialup could some of us that have burners, burn some for them? It may help get it to them a little faster. Only tryin to help.

Put it on the site, let me download it, save the postage and everything else, if there are members up here in the Seattle area that need it on CD, I will burn one for them.

Mark,
Apparently, it appear that Chris's plate is full and I don't think this can materialize soon. Just keep our finger cross, hope for the best but expect the worst. ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)

I wrote the whole script. We then filmed it with digital camcorders with me just reading the script (not acting) and waling through the dry run scenes as sort of an anchor. I think we shot over 50 hours to get a 2 hour movie but we learned a lot about lighting. We then edited it all on the computer so that it flows well. Tape rooms don’t require a waste basket these days. That really was the hard part. It took over a year to get to that point. It’s easy now. I found an actress, Sarah, to shoot the anchor scenes we decided to keep. They will replace my dry-run scenes (I’m no actor!) with Sarah, a professional. Then we can start burning. We still have to buy a fast burner…they are getting faster every day. And I still have to make a DVD jewel case cover and get it printed.
Nick
PS. Doing a project like this is difficult if you are a perfectionist. At some point you just have to say... it's good enough.

I strongly believes that everything should be ready by now ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) Since most of us supported the idea of down loading from the site, members have asked WHEN IS IT AVAILABLE?
We are very eager to meet "SARAH", now you hooked us with that burning desire..........we don't need the DVD jewel case cover ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif) ![icon_lol.gif](upload://zEgbBCXRskkCTwEux7Bi20ZySza.gif)
