How do you improve resolution on a low-end camera?

The attached photographs show exceptional resolution versus poor resolution. As you can see, the greater the temperature differential the better the resolution becomes. If you modify your normal scan on your computer program you can improve resolution by spreading the range of the scan. This may or may not provide the information you’re trying to depict to your client.

How do you stitch sequential thermal scans?

Flir as a $2000 program to combine multiple thermal scans. This actually increases the resolution of your low grade camera to that of a high grade camera by combining multiple exposures into one resolution.

I use the panoramic stitch tool provided by my Hewlett-Packard printer software to put together horizontal photographs.
Has anyone come up with a better solution?

$2000 is a little bit steep for a home inspector application.

You will never see me purchasing a overpriced $2,000.00 software kit for infrared images.

I have stiching capabilities in my Canon digital camera software which I received with my camera for a whooping $0 dollars.

It should work fine on all JPEG images.

The “side-by-side” stitching does well with my printer program ($0), just wondering if anyone found anything else out there.

I searched the net a while ago, but found very little.

With a stitching tool, you can increase the resolution capabilities of your camera with out the big guns cameras price, even at $2k.

There is a software program out there called Duel View for $199.00.

Check it out as they do offer a free download for anyone who would like to sample this software.

I have looked at that before and after I got my BCAM.

By “side-by-side” I was referring to the software “stitching” two or more scans taken in a horizontal or vertical sequence into one scan.

Duel View is a good stand alone report if you are just doing an IR job. It makes putting IR and digital photos together much easier.
