I have one more essay to complete in the How to Perform Deck Inspections Course but don’t have access to anything directly related to a deck system or component. Would inspecting a metal railing be sufficient to complete the assignment?

The instruction states:

INSPECTION : Perform a visual-only inspection according to the Home Inspection Standards of Practice. Inspect a system or component covered in the course that is directly related to a deck system or component. If you don’t have a deck available, inspect a set of stairs, wooden steps, a railing, floor joists, lag bolt fasteners, etc .

  1. IMAGES: During the inspection, take several inspection images of that system or component. Use your phone, mobile device, or digital camera. It can either be in good condition or have a defect.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience.
