HUD 3.10 Awards Out For Indiana And Kentucky

Historic Award To Stand Alone Small Business
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has issued its Award upon DU204SA-17-D-0002 for the Indiana – Kentucky 4A Region. The Award was made to Purdy Enterprise LLC. Thomas Purdy, a service connected disabled veteran is the former Vendor Manager for A2Z Field Services and is located in North Carolina. In accordance with the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) contract, challenges may only be made under FAR 19.302, or the “Protesting Small Business Representation” clause.
What remains to be seen is whether or not Purdy Enterprise will be able to scale up the Labor necessary in light of their historical mingling with the National Association of Mortgage Field Services (NAMFS).
We spoke with several at the International Association of Field Service Technicians (IAFST) whom while were pleased that a small business was awarded a HUD contract, they were hesitant to believe that anything would change. Many felt that Purdy Enterprise could easily become simply yet an extension of the business as usual reduction in pay and several were quite vocal in pointing out that it would become just another Order Mill farming out to another Order Mill.
In light of receiving a multi million dollar HUD Award, one might think that Purdy Enterprise could be able to comply with federal law and secure their website and login. Both are still http and insecure.

In full disclosure, Foreclosurepedia has consulted with Purdy Enterprise, in the past, and they struck me as down to earth folks. He and his associate traveled up to the East Tennessee Bunker a place where few folks have ever seen in a county with only one stoplight. To say that we trusted him then should be self evident. While we have no direct relationship with them today, I will go out on a limb and state that if Purdy Enterprise wants to be successful, perhaps they ought to consider sitting down with Minority Females and Labor in the IAFST. NAMFS Members do not provide any field services; NAMFS Members are Order Mills whom take money off the top, and recruit Labor while IAFST Members are doing the work day in and day out.
In closing, a FAR 19 Protest probably would not be successful. On the other hand, Purdy’s relationship with Labor may not be either.
