I would agree with that under certain circumstances, but what you describe is not one of them. If the surface is exposed to normal airflow, condensation will not build up unless the temperature is very dissimilar and the room has very high humidity.
Or we could show the public that some of us understand building science? Just a thought. I agree, when someone stops by looking for advice because they skipped their home inspection, but the average Joe just looking to understand how their home works, I have no problem helping them. To each their own I guess.

The problem lies, with you wanting your questions answered by professionals without compensation. If you want a good opinion or fix to your problem hire an inspector or contractor. Don’t think we are going to invest much time into helping some anonymous person for free.
