The problem is paid members of NACHI are being disqualified at getting the HG deal because Nick has a problem with duel memberships. He takes duel membership personally for some reason and discriminates against the NACHI members who are.
No hard feelings toward HG, at all.
Just remember that HG is buying that ad in the ASHI Reporter and in all the other places you see it advertised by ASHI. NACHI charges none of its vendors for advertising.

You got a point. I thought that was odd when I first read it. Some, like me, have an ASHI membership as a “marketing” expense. I already own HG but if I didn’t, I would have a hard time understanding that requirement. Still, I’m happy for the members that get the HG deal (and will be happy too if members get a HIP deal soon)… it’s all good;-)

Perhaps so, but the big diffrence is Dominic continues to work very hard everyday to help NACHI members. This Home Gauge deal is about ‘upselling’ to NACHI members and nothing more.
Did Gromicko actually purchase this $100,000 worth of HG licenses with his own money, purchase it with NACHI funds or is this nothing more than a clever HG marketing gimmick to hook inspectors onto a HG program with a monthly fee?

just funnin with you all… just seems like… many are tearing the deal apart looking for something wrong with it… it was good timing on my part as I avoid the message board for the most part except from time to time…
Anyone who takes advantage of this offer will get help from the HomeGauge support team. That is 10 employees, 6 phone lines and all free support. Our internet tools are free for 6 months with this deal. At the end of 6 months if you dont want them you dont have to use them plain and simple. There will then be no additional costs.
I wish i could make it easier for the few onlookers here that are looking for a “gimmick”. There isn’t any so I will give you guys something to think on. To answer your question… I purchased 100 licenses with my own money. InterNACHI couldn’t afford it. I was playing poker with Russell in Vegas, did pretty well, and gave him the down payment in chips. He gave me a reciept for them. We each flew home and finalized the purchase 2 days ago. In this market environment I could have purchased 100 copies from any software vendor that I wanted to. Most of them were at the ITA show in Vegas. HIP is great software too. Anyway, with InterNACHI member’s best interests in mind… I chose HomeGauge. I figure the good Lord sat Russell next to me at the poker table in Vegas and then let me win big for a reason.
Russell is running a business. Do you not expect him to upsell? Personally, I use Homeguage and do not subscribe to any of the gold , platinum, or whatever other metal services and am completely satisfied with the software. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PURCHASE ANY OTHER SERVICE. The software is excellent without it. There is no conspiracy.
Received my license today and downloaded the software. I’ve been watching the video lessons and it seems relatively simple to customize. And best of all it’s free. I’m far from cheap when it comes to business but who could pass up an offer like this really?
I just don’t see the conspiracy being whipped up here as factual. I’m not naive but I also know not to look a gift horse in the mouth AND I’ve not had ANY pressure to purchase other services.
Now if I received this software with the contingency that I WOULD purchase the gold service…well I simply would not have gone there.
How can you market yourself with a clear concience, and criticize someone else for marketing their wares, I just don’t get it?
