HB562 has passed in both the house and the senate. Within 30 days it has to be delivered to the governor and he will have 60 days to sign the new law. This law will be in effect starting January 1, 2022. For all the changes, please do a search for HB562 2021. Some of the changes include.
- New licensees will have to pass a field exam as well as the current requirements.
- Everyone will have to have General Liability Insurance
- The Entity license will be eliminated for some, not all.
- You will be able to place your license in an inactive state to avoid purchasing GL insurance.
There are more changes. The Gateway to the West Region Chapter will be hosting a zoom meeting about the changes that will take place. I am sure it will be open to many. I will be in attendance.
