Thanks Gerry:

And Gentlemen, don't worry about having enough IL NACHI members. Just make the meeting open to all. If you build it they will come. NACHI can typically draw a crowd with most meetings having 40 to 50 attendees.

I’m willing to help in anyway, I’m just cutting my gums on home inspection and would do any leg work that would be needed. I’m just not sure where to start.

Hey Gerry I'm originally from Boston, Go Celtics!

Chris,

Meetings are basically a get together to introduce yourself to other NACHI members and home inspectors from your area. It is more or less a social gathering, consisting of dinner and drinks. After dinner, Nick (if available) and guest speakers will introduce themselves and discuss educational material relating to home inspections and will answer any questions you may come up with. After the meeting, you are free to mingle with all the attendees to dicuss anything on your mind.
Our first N.E meeting (last month) turned out fantastic. Nick, Chris, Igor, Gerry and myself ended the night after midnight.

Here is a our N.E. NACHI agenda that you can base a typical meeting on.

The meeting schedule is:

6:00 pm ? 6:30 pm. Social get together (cash bar).
6:30 pm ? 7:00 pm. Introduction and welcoming guests.
7:00 pm ? 8:00 pm. Buffet style dinner.
8:00 pm ? 9:00 pm. Guest speaker Nick Gromiko (NACHI executive director) will discuss Home Inspection marketing.
9:00 pm ? 9:30 pm Guest speaker Chris Morrell (NACHI director of information technology) will discuss web site design and hosting, and will be unveiling a new web site service for home inspectors.
9:30 pm ? 10:30 pm open forum discussion.
10:30 pm - ? custom one-on-one marketing help.

So Nick is waiting for someone to step up to the plate and start planning your first Illinios meeting. Who's volunteering? C'mon...Dont be shy guys.![](upload://uGCrL9UAOOhsdtBDQmxqjyL62FF.gif)

If the threads that Gerry had sent you do not get attention, then go to the following list to see what NACHI members are in your area and start planning. It fun and exciting.

Gentlemen,

Allow me to add my name to the list of folks interested in joining a northern Illinois/Northwest Indiana NACHI chapter.

I'll freely admit to not having any background in providing leadership to form such a chapter, but I'll gladly assist in any way I can to make this a reality.

Sincerely,

Ronald Lind

Can anyone tell me if there is an Illinois Chapter…I saw a “thread” about it, but that was the last of it. I’m in the Fox Valley (Geneva, Batavia, St Charles area). It would be nice if there was! I plan on taking the test next month for IL. I work with a number of Realtors in this area, and it would be nice to get them use to your name.
