I'm starting to like this John Fetterman

And he dresses like I do:

I have warmed up to Fetterman, also.
However, you dress way better.

I have listened to Fetterman’s views. Good speaker.

As for the democrats. They are hunkered down rarely speaking out while allowing the full weight of the current administration’s policies sink in to red and blue states.
A majority of voters ‘didn’t care’ about policy last time around I feel. ‘They want to know you are a fighter’ as a blizzard of lies was spoon feed on the news over and over again as Trump filled the airways. That MAGA fighting mantra never ended after J’6 coup.

Now watch how the voters will react, as the current administration hangs themselves every news cycle. It’s not even been one year and the largest protest in American resent history continue against the current administration’s policies and lawlessness.

Similar to Ali’s rope a dope over a two year cycle until the midterms.
I predict, rightly or wrongly, the opposition will rest on the ropes and come out swinging only at the end to the cheers from the majority electorate so fed up with never ending chaos and lawlessness from all directions, mostly lead by the economic wows your great country squandered after being given an economy enved around the world.

I wish you all the best.

How’s the weather in Fantasy Land, Robert?

Guess you missed the No Kings protests?

I am confident, most Americans will reward a responsible party still committed to norms of civility and bipartisanship. Its time to turn the page on MAGA.

The No Kings protest was one of the dumbest displays of ignorance and that is saying something considering that we have a long history of dumb protests and riots. Did you see the interviews with some of the participants? Our failure in education was on full display. That is the story, here. Not something about Trump.
Simply put, if Trump was a king, he would not have allowed a No Kings protest.

Afternoon, Lon. Hope to find you well.
The legal right to protest was written by your founders into the and as The First Amendment for a valid reason. To assemble and express your views through protest. To say it was dumb is moot.

The No Kings protest was about the authoritarian policies of Donald Trump and corruption in his administration and watched around most of the free world.

As for news interviews from protest participants. Blame the editorial review process.
TV broadcasters are controlled by (7) seven corporations. The independence thrown out the window. News is manipulated by bias for sensationalism. The spread of misinformation and disinformation has polluted real journalism. As sad but true statement I feel.

The real story is the amount of visible US electorate willing to protest because they are dissatisfied with the current administrations polices and how they are being implamented.

Just cant stay in your lane can you Robert….why dont You try fixing that train wreck of a government You have over there instead of spending all your time criticising ours Eh ???

I am but a single entity.
The same proposition would be true of your government, James. Your government seems hell bent to put Canada in a recession.

Robert

Just in case you missed it, the Federal debt was 26 trillion when Biden took office and when he left it was 34 trillion. That’s an 8 trillion dollar increase in debt. No wonder inflation went through the roof. Can’t continue to spend more than you take in Robert! That’s called economic suicide or in simple terms bankruptcy!! We finally have someone who will cut government spending!!!

Who would that be?

Because it certainly isn’t Trump.

It’s true that the deficit has been lowered some, but only because of tariffs.

The fact of the matter is Trump gave his billionaire buddies a huge tax cut, while screwing over every other American mostly with his tariffs, which in reality are a tax on the consumer.

We still have a 1.78 Trillion dollar deficit and a 38 trillion dollar debt that is rising, and the Republicans big beautiful bill only added to it.

Trumps tariffs brought the deficit down a wopping 40 billion dollars to 1.78 Trillion dollars.

Interest on the 38 Trillion dollar debt totaled more than $1.2 trillion this FY, which is a record and nearly $100 billion higher than the 2024 outlay.

Trump can rob Peter to pay Paul and continue to play his shell games, but the debt and the interest we pay on the debt continue to skyrocket.

President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful” tax-and-spending bill, which he signed into law on July 4, is forecast to increase federal deficits by at least $3.4 trillion over the next decade, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

That’s on top of the gross federal debt, which has climbed to more than $36 trillion, up from about $23 trillion in early 2020 — an increase of over 50% in just five years, driven by pandemic relief, rising entitlement costs and persistent deficit spending.

COVID-19. It affected the world.

And when Biden left, he left an America economy envied by the world. Now being squandered by Trump.

COVID-19 was the excuse. Politicians wrecked the world.

You should tell that to the people protesting! Many didn’t get the memo, lol
