***No person can advertise or claim to be a licensed home inspector or perform a home inspection for compensation without a license from the board. A license is required by July 1, 2006.***[/FONT][/FONT]</SPAN>
Continued operation without the license may result in multiple Civil and Criminal Penalties.

THE KENTUCKY BOARD OF HOME INSPECTORS (KBHI) IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO BE LICENSED AS A KENTUCKY HOME INSPECTOR BY JULY 1, 2006.
It is essential that all candidates for licensure to submit the completed application (KBHI 1](http://www.ohbc.ky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/4C03BA06-5B48-4551-824A-E08757381081/0/DKentuckyHomeInspectorApplicationFinal.doc)) as soon as possible in order to be in compliance with the law on July 1, 2006.
THERE IS NO EXTENSION OF TIME TO BECOME LICENSED.
