In my heating systems training manual it states that evidence that a crack may exist in the heat exchanger in an induced draft unit could be indicated by a rise in O2 when the air handler comes on. I was thinking that this should also be a good indicator for atmospheric units as well. Does anyone know for sure?

With A 80 plus a rise in O2 could mean that you have a problem… With an open diverter you need to check the cells and not the flue.please keep in mind that CO CO2 and O2 all have there place.
