Today I was asked what my thoughts were on indoor dryer lint traps. The laundry room is in the basement so my biggest problem with it was moisture in a basement. I told them if at all possible they should vent it to the outdoors, there is not a fan to remove the moisture either.
You are correct it must vent to the out side .
