Summary/General Description of Job:
Responsible for the inspection of garrison buildings and facilities.
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
·Reviews project specifications and confers with Engineering concerning assistance required, such as plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design changes, and reports.
·Applies knowledge necessary to conduct inspections of sites.
·Prepares reports detailing facility Inspections.
·Surveys project sites for inspection as needed, using maps and surveying equipment.
·Prepares sketches and calculates dimensions and quantities of materials such as steel, concrete, and asphalt, using calculator.
·Supports the project Safety Plan through personal involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirements pertaining to particular trades or skills.
·Ensures proper housekeeping practices are observed.
·Keeps Supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered.
Job Requirements (Education, Skills & Experience):

·US Citizenship
·Valid state driver’s license, with acceptable driving record.
·Verbal and written communication skills
·2 years of experience as a facilities/buildings inspector
·Ability to read blueprints and other building plans
·The ability to complete accurate sketches and drawings from field surveys
***Preferred: ***
·Associates Degree in facility Design
·Proficient in MS Office programs
·Knowledge of ADA and Army regulations or ability to find and use them
