Originally, back in the olden days, what is now referred to as “flip-flops” were called “thongs”. To us really old folks, thongs are flip-flops are thongs.

I wonder if I should tell my 14 year old granddaughter that I wore “throngs” when I was younger…
let her imagination make her spit up…

That’s right Jae!
Will, you want to put that into a new thread with your company name and service area in the title. Under mine it will just get lost I think because it doesn’t relate to the title of the thread.
Of course, as usual, I could be wrong.
Hey Cheryl,
I’ve lived in SoCal for most of my life. Flip flops are often referred to as “Thongs” here in California. Not to sure about any where else.
Wendy,
I don’t think it matters. Just like your signature information gets crawled no matter what blog, link, thread your addressing or responding to.
Let’s ask Joe, since he started the experiment.
How you doin up there in Washington? Dry or Wet?
100 degrees today in Laguna Niguel, I live one mile from the beach. “HOT”…
Dry, very warm. EXTREMELY busy for a little hole in the wall place. Everyone found us this year and spent their vacation here.
Brinnon, Washington. The next vacation supercenter.
Oh, I live across from the beach. But it’s only some sand, lots of oysters and clams.
Wendy…it looks like a beautiful place!!1 How’s the weather in the winter?
don’t worry about the logo stuff. If you need anymore help let me know
surfsigns@excite.com
Wendy said “no, it just get’s the attention of the bots”.
Why not post every zip code in the US? Your post is deceptive and dishonest if you don’t actually serve the areas in which you are advertising. Seems a little unethical as well.
sigh
No, because I’m advertising to those people in those areas so that if they are coming to this area, they know who to call.
It is absolutely gorgeous here! You should come over for a visit. You can fish right off the shore across the street from me, or go boating, clamming, etc. It’s so nice.
Thanks for the help on the logo! I’ll need it. ![]()
This is a bit late
, but here it is anyway.
I have had the same “signature line” on this BB since 2003. If you type my phone number into Google 661-212-0738, dozens of message board posts come up.
So I’d say that the “spiders” DO read sig lines.
Thanks Jeff. That is very helpful!
That also means that some of the less than professional post (not you Jeff) will show up as well, FYI.
For everyone!
Yet another reason why we should always try and remain professional ![]()
