Anyone else having trouble renewing their insurance this year?
My inspection business is connected to my small construction business. The construction side is purposefully shrinking to less than $50k gross this year.
No Claims. 5 years as inspector. 14 years as a GC.
But my Insurance Agent could only find one carrier who would insure an inspector/contractor and my rates are more than doubling.
The only solution we can come up with is to separate the businesses, which takes time. New licenses, new corporate filings, more taxes, etc. etc.
