The field training will be performed in vacant homes without any clients. This will allow us to discuss the different parts of the structure and mechanical systems. You will see how they work and understand the components, and also see the equipment that a high-end home inspector uses. Together, we will inspect these houses on the outside and the inside following the state mandate. You will not write reports or communicate with any clients. The entire process will take about 15 hours to complete and counts as all five of your field training events required by the State of Illinois to obtain your home inspector’s license.
