The main floor of the house is wired with aluminum and the base with copper. I pulled a receptacle to check the rating and found that it had CU andf AL but the AL is crossed out like a no smoking sign. Does this mean it is not rated or is it just a piece of plastic left over from the manufacture. We do not see much aluminum here so I am not up on all of it.

That is what I am thinking as well Roy. Just thought a few of the guru’s who had seen these may have a different idea.
