Just a reminder: The difference between a million and a billion is

The difference between a million and a billion is… essentially a billion.

.999 of a billion, actually.

I remember when a million was a vast amount of money. A winning lotto ticket would fetch the winner a million dollars. The sales narrative, retire for life.
Now the term a billion dollars gets thrown around with ease while a trillion dollars is reachable. Look at Musk.
I long for those days when I dollar had tangible value and life seemed simpler.

Not me. I remember working for $4.25/hour as a teenager. I don’t long for those days at all.

But compared to Elon Musk, I’m still poor. If I’m walking down the street and I see a quarter on the ground, I’ll stop and pick it up. But I would not stop and pick up a nickel. If Elon had a similar view of his time/money as me, he would not bother to stop and pick up a $20,000 bill. It’s like a nickel to him.

Loved being a teanager. I could go to the tavern with $5.00 and come home and forget how I got to bed. Lol

Wow I must be way older than you! I’ll stop and pick up a penny. You know “Find a penny pick it up and all day you’ll have good luck!”.

And the difference between a billion and a trillion is… essentially a trillion.
Sen. Tupperville described a trillion as a 3 foot tall stack of $100 bills from Auburn AL to Atlanta GA during his TPUSA speech the other night.

Heck ya!! I’m keeping my eyes open for sure.

It might be a 1943 D Lincoln wheat cent.

Easy to understand why you had a rough teenage years you would rather not revisit and why your country is adrift in an endless cycle of hate and bullying, Kennedy. Lol

The difference between 1 million and 1 thousand is .999 million and the difference between 1 thousand and 1 dollar is .999 thousand . . . . So what? Is this a math lesson?

As compared to practical and real-world implications, the differences are enormous.

As wealth, billionaires fundamentally operate on a different scale of wealth and influence, whereas millionaires are able to enjoy a comfortable and somewhat secure lifestyle yet still face financial limits of influence and financial investment reality’s.

I’m thinking either Nick had one of his epiphany moments or forum participation is low and he’s jump starting it with a new topic.
