Saw this at this afternoon’s inspection. 2003 ranch home with 2300 sf. out in the country on some acreage.
I guess the homeowner was trying to keep the wasps out of the attic. He did this to every light on the wrap around porch!
Does foam burn? 
And this is Motel 7. We won’t leave the light on for you.

No way to dissipate heat from the light, possibly a fire hazard. That air gap is there for a reason, not to mention how are you going to replace the bulb.
