I have the Costco 17’ ladder, and I use it 98% of the time. Here are some point to consider:
1. 4Lbs heavier than the Little Giant
2. $200 Cheaper than the Little Giant
3. Can lift it to the first story for access to the second story.
Nothing against the Little Giant...just could not bring myself to pay 200 more for the same product.
Whichever you buy, Costco or Little Giant, you cant go wrong.
By the way, as far as the wood ladders that Erol posted (www.adjustersladder.com) the only issue is that they are not very sturdy...besides, when they get wet...well just stick with the aluminum if at all possible.

I finally picked up a climbtech 16’ ladder…so far it seems to fit my needs! However today I have a huge house…I’ll just have to gain access to the roof thru the dormers!

BTW…I’ve already junked my climbtech…it no longer works. I had to buy another POS because sams club (local)didn’t carry COSCO ladders anymore and I was in a rush to get another ladder.

Xtend and Climb gets me on most single story roofs. Which is fine since I woudn’t climb a two story roof anyway. Personal business (and safety) decision. Observed roof from neighbors bedroom…

Purchased the LG heavy duty 17 footer almost two years ago. It has not disappointed, except…
-Could have had the Cosco knockoff for @ $125.00 less (boy, those Wing guys really have a nice videotape)
-It only gets you to the gutter on a typical full two-story; I'm NOT going to swing up on the roof if the ladder's only got about 2" of freeboard above the eave.
Is there actually any sturdy yet collapsible/foldable ladder out there that will safely get you to 22' - 24' WITHOUT having to transport on the roof rack??? And cost less than $300.00?

You guys need to get into internet shopping. A lot of the times it comes out much cheaper even with shipping. Look at amazon and ebay sites. Ebay has a store site, it’s not all auctions. Some things are better to get locally. But when you see yourself not finding what you want think internet. Wing enterprises is little giants company. You don’t just go to their site and order it though. You get an estimate, then go to amazon and ebay. Always think of the internet as a shopping tool and you will see that sometimes you can save a lot of money by “shopping” around.
You can also go to Google and put in "blank" and you will be amazed at what comes up. You can also use a site like deal time or next tag and they compare prices for you. Just remember when your shopping on line to include taxes and shipping at each site because each site is different.
