appears to be original to the home 1900-1920. about 3 feet tall 2x4 footprint, with a drain in the middle. there is a floor drain just outside the tub. there is a lid that can cover the tub but may be from a later date. tub is brick built into the foundation walls with concrete on the sides. I was thinking a wash house for clothes? I guess it could be for lots of things but any ideas?
Bathe, laundry, wash pets, drown kittens (my uncle told me about this, said it was the worst thing he ever saw (as a child)).
One more piece of the puzzle comes together.
