Lead Paint Testing

If you haven’t already looked into lead paint testing as an ancillary inspection, you might want to. Especially if your state is like Maryland that requires testing for all pre-1978 rental properties. I added it late last year, and it has been a cash cow. First off, the inspections are faster and easier on the body. I can do a 2000 sf house in about an hour, and the going rate is $350. Now, getting set up is a bit of money, since the training was about $750 and the XRF gun was about $18,000. But for reference, I paid off the gun using funds from the lead paint inspections in 4 months. If you are interested in getting going on this one, let me know and I’ll be glad to help you out.
